Where can you get a phone repaired in Tenerife?
A1 Computers is a family-run repair shop at Local 4, Centro Comercial San Eugenio, Av. de los Pueblos 20, 38660 Costa Adeje, in the tourist south of the island. It is a short taxi or bus ride from Playa de las Américas, Los Cristianos, Fañabé and Torviscas. You can walk in without an appointment, Monday–Saturday 10:45–21:30 or Sunday 10:45–14:00.
Phones of every major brand go to the same bench: iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, Xiaomi, Redmi, Poco, Huawei, Oppo and Realme, plus iPads and Android tablets. The counter speaks English and Spanish. To ask before you travel, send the model and the fault on WhatsApp to 641 780 077 or call 922 71 35 82. Directions are on the visit map.
What phone repairs can be done on the island?
Most faults are fixed on site, so the phone doesn't need to be sent to the mainland:
- Screens: cracks, lines, black or flickering displays and dead touch. See iPhone screen repair.
- Batteries: fast draining, sudden shutdowns or a swollen battery. See phone battery replacement.
- Charging ports: sand, lint, moisture alerts and loose connectors. See phone not charging.
- Water damage: sea, pool and drinks. See water damage repair.
- Back glass, cameras, speakers, microphones and Face ID.
- Data recovery from phones that no longer start, and board-level micro-soldering when the fault is on the logic board.
Brand guides: iPhone repair and Samsung Galaxy repair. Laptops are repaired at the same shop too: laptop repair.
What should you do first when your phone breaks?
It depends on what happened:
- It got wet. Switch it off and don't charge it. Apple says not to dry an iPhone with an external heat source or compressed air, and not to put it in rice. Samsung says a water-resistant Galaxy that has been in the sea or a pool should be rinsed in clean water and not charged until it is completely dry. Bring a phone that has been in seawater in quickly: salt keeps corroding the board.
- The screen cracked. Cover sharp edges with clear tape or a screen protector so glass doesn't cut you, and back the phone up while the touch still works.
- It overheated. Move it into the shade and let it cool before charging. Apple designs iPhone to work best between 0 and 35 °C ambient temperature.
- It won't charge. Try another cable and adapter, and don't push anything metal into the port.

Original or compatible parts: which should you choose?
For screen repairs at A1 Computers you can choose between an original part and a compatible one, and you get the price of each before anything is fitted. An original part costs more; a compatible part keeps the cost down. Which is right depends on the phone's age, how long you plan to keep it, and your budget.
On recent iPhones, Apple's Parts and Service History in Settings › General › About shows whether a part is a new genuine Apple part, a used one, or an unknown part; Apple says some features may not work as expected with non-genuine parts. Ask at the counter what this means for your model before you decide.
How do you protect your data before a repair?
Back up while the phone still works: iCloud or a computer on iPhone, Google or Samsung Cloud on Android. Apple's preparation steps cover the backup and Find My; on iOS 27 and later you can use Ready for Repair or Trade-In instead of turning Find My off. Samsung's Maintenance mode hides your personal data during a repair, and Google's Pixel Repair Mode starts the phone in a separate system so technicians can test it without your data.
Bring the phone and the cable you use. You shouldn't have to hand over your passcode: Apple says never to give your Apple Account password or device passcode to anyone else, and you can unlock the phone yourself when it is tested. Step-by-step instructions for each brand are in how to prepare your phone for a repair.
How much does phone repair cost in Tenerife?
It depends on the model, the fault and the part you choose, so A1 Computers quotes for your phone. Send the model and the problem on WhatsApp to 641 780 077, call 922 71 35 82, or walk in to Local 4, CC San Eugenio. You get the price before any work starts, and with water damage the price comes after the phone has been opened and inspected. Diagnosis costs €15.
Many screen repairs are done the same visit when the part is in stock. If you need to stay online while the phone is on the bench and you have a spare unlocked phone, prepaid tourist SIMs and eSIMs are sold at the same counter.
