Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO repair in Tenerife

Updated · Local 4, Centro Comercial San Eugenio, Av. de los Pueblos 20, 38660 Costa Adeje

Where can you get a Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO repaired in Tenerife?

A1 Computers repairs Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO phones at Local 4, Centro Comercial San Eugenio, Av. de los Pueblos 20, 38660 Costa Adeje: cracked screens, batteries, charging ports, cameras, back glass and water damage, with board-level micro-soldering when needed. Walk in without an appointment, Monday–Saturday 10:45–21:30 or Sunday 10:45–14:00, in English or Spanish.

Xiaomi's own repair service in Spain works by post through authorised service centres (support line 900 128 128). Out of warranty, Xiaomi says the customer pays shipping both ways, and if you reject the quote you pay the inspection fee and the shipping. For out-of-warranty damage, a walk-in repair keeps the phone on the island. To check parts for your model, WhatsApp 641 780 077 or call 922 71 35 82.

Why does your Xiaomi account matter before a repair?

Because the phone is tied to it. Xiaomi's repair terms for Spain ask customers to make a full backup and sign out of their Xiaomi account and other private accounts before handing a phone in. Sign out in Settings › Xiaomi Account; if Find device is on, Xiaomi says you have to enter the account password at that step.

If the phone won't start and you can't sign out on it, Xiaomi lets you remove it remotely: log in at i.mi.com, go to My devices and delete the device, which signs the phone out of your account. Whatever you do, make sure you know the password: after a repair or reset, a phone still linked to an account you can't open is very hard to use again.

How do you back up a Xiaomi before a repair?

Use two backups. Xiaomi Cloud, turned on under Settings › About phone › Back up and restore, gives 5 GB and, according to Xiaomi's support pages, backs up data except photos and videos. Google's Android backup covers apps, contacts and settings, and Google Photos or a copy to a computer covers your pictures.

Xiaomi also says its own service centres take no responsibility for data lost during a repair, which is true of any repair: back up first. If the phone is already dead and the photos matter, say so at the counter; A1 Computers does data recovery from phones that no longer start.

Is a Xiaomi or Redmi waterproof?

Often not as much as you think. Many Redmi and POCO models have a lower IP rating than Xiaomi's flagships, or none. Even for the IP68-rated Xiaomi 15, Xiaomi says the protection wears down with use, damage from liquid or dust isn't covered by the warranty, the phone shouldn't be charged wet, and beach or pool use is not advised.

If yours gets wet, switch it off, don't charge it and don't use a hairdryer. After the sea or a pool, bring it in quickly: salt and chlorine keep working on the board after the phone looks dry. See water damage repair.

How can you make a Xiaomi battery last longer?

Turn on Smart charging under Settings › Battery › Battery protection. Xiaomi says the phone learns how you charge and stops at 80% when appropriate, which reduces wear; menu names vary by model and HyperOS version. Keep the phone out of direct sun, because heat wears batteries faster.

If the battery drains by the afternoon, shuts down at a high percentage, or the back starts to bulge, it needs replacing. See phone battery replacement; A1 Computers replaces Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO batteries at the counter.

How much does a Xiaomi repair cost in Tenerife?

It depends on the model and the fault, and for screens you can choose an original or a compatible part. Send the model and the problem on WhatsApp to 641 780 077, call 922 71 35 82, or walk in to Local 4, CC San Eugenio. You get the price before any work starts. Diagnosis costs €15.

Bring the cable you normally use, your screen lock and your Xiaomi account password. The full checklist is in how to prepare your phone for a repair.
